Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a suitably trained and qualified referee to every game in Sussex whilst enabling all our referees, advisers/assessors, touch judges and coaches to fulfill their true potential.

Without a qualified referee players will have no game. SSRFUR needs more referees, assessors, coaches and touch judges to cope with the demand. If you are ready to start refereeing contact any of our committee, especially Mervyn Jones via mandmjones@tiscali.co.uk  or fill in our membership form.

We will train you, support you and accompany you each step of the way.

Clubs - you are the key to providing referees, whether for your own club games, at all levels e.g. mini and junior, or for those who wish to take their refereeing further. Please help us to help you and the game. Please visit the Calling All Clubs page for more details.
